It was a wonderful experience to actually live in a national park. There were trails and picnic areas all over the base and I walked just about every foot of them. The Shanty One of my favorite places was a little shanty by the coast. I would go there to have lunch, read or just think. I miss being able to go there and I think I'd like to go back some day.

Living on the New England coast also afforded me some wonderful photographic opportunities. I also made a lot of home movies that I would send to my niece Tiffany.
