Barracks Life

Benny Desjardin (Day-zhar-dan). He's one of those Cajun types. ;-)

Okay, sometimes living
in a barracks can get boring.
For the most part, I didn't mind living in the barracks. It's a good experience and it just becomes home. It's like living in a dorm or a studio apartment. And the people you live with, especially in the military, can become like family.

Nick Heudecker
Here are a couple of my buddies from the Nav. Nick and Jim were roommates who lived in the compartment across the hall. Nick and I still keep in touch. We were pretty good friends, which was surprising to a lot of people because we were so different. We liked to tell people that we had a mutual disrespect for each other. What it really boiled down to was the fact that we respected and accepted each other for who we were. Though I did tell Nick once that he was like the son I hope I never have. ;-)

My dear friend, Sara.

Benny with Bill
One of my best friends in the service was Sara Ferris. I've lost touch with her over the years but I am still so grateful for her friendship. I hope we can meet again some day. I so miss her.

Benny was pretty cool roommate and, if I recall correctly, I think he was a Classic Wizard Maintenance student with Sara. Benny was also my last roommate before Tuttle "moved in."

This is me... with more hair and less mass.

This is Audri. I totally had a crush on her.
Can you blame me? She is now Mrs. Beugelsdijk.
Yup, she went and married a Winter Park kid.
