Once there were four missionaries whose names were Elder Somebody, Elder Everybody, Elder Anybody and Elder Nobody. They were not like you and me. They were very unusual and it was hard to understand them. For example, Somebody talked about his companion and Everybody was afraid to say anything because Somebody might find out. But Anybody knew that Everybody was talking about Somebody, so he must be getting what he deserved. Really, it wasn't very pleasant to live in their district.
I don't think that you would have enjoyed working there. There was the time Anybody was very sick. Everybody thought that Somebody called the doctor. Somebody thought that Everybody had done it. So it turned out that Nobody called the doctor and Anybody suffered quite a bit. They were missionaries but the way they proselyted was a shame. For example, Everybody did not know the discussions and Anybody, who was a new missionary, didn't learn the discussions because he knew that there wasn't going to be Somebody to help by listening to him. So Nobody knew the discussions.
Nobody was the only decent one of the four. Nobody got out of bed at 6 a.m. every morning. Nobody evaluated contacts regularly. Nobody was very enthusiastic while contacting fathers. Nobody planned the day and filled out reports each evening. In fact, everything that needed to be doneÐÐNobody did it.
Now it came to pass that there were many unbelievers that lived among them. Anybody could have taken the gospel into their homes. Everybody thought that Somebody would. Somebody didn't. Now, who do you think finally fulfilled their missionary calling? Right! Nobody. And again it came to pass that at the end of time the four bodys died. And where did they end up? Well, Everybody stood before the Judgment Throne of Christ and had no defense. Anybody should have pleaded their case, but, thought that Somebody would save them. Somebody didn't. Now do you know which one of the four bodys got to heaven? Oh . . . You're ahead of me again. IT WAS NOBODY.
